Sangath is also invited by institutions, schools, other NGO’s and groups to conduct workshops and lectures on a number of topics. We have a list of topics we generally cater to, but we also tailor the workshop as per the needs and requests of the groups.
Often, as part of our project activities, we also have seminars and training programs for various stake holders. Here are some examples:
State level workshop for Education Department and Heads of schools
Sangath organised a workshop under the SHAPE program on the 'School Counsellor Program' in Goa on 18th Aug'2010 at the Hotel Mandovi, Panjim. The workshop was attended by representatives from the Department of Education, the Archdiocesan Board of Education, the management of schools and other partners of Sangath. The workshop aimed to disseminate the feasibility, acceptability and effectiveness of the WHO Health Promoting School model used by Sangath in the SHAPE and Manthan program for ten schools of Goa. The stakeholders of the program expressed how the program had been of benefit to their schools. This was followed by a discussion on how this model could be scaled up in more schools of Goa as part of the government's school counselling program.
